Trivia:
Doc Brown, also known as Doctor Emmett Brown, is an important character from the Back to the Future movie trilogy. Doc Brown lives in 1955, but has built inventions that are futuristic for his time, including a time-travelling DeLorean automobile.
He is depicted as a goodhearted but somewhat absentminded inventor, who realizes the need to be less selfish with his talents and help others with their problems more often. He often worries about something bad happening because of his inventions. His catchphrase is "Great Scott!".
He is portrayed by Christopher Lloyd, who also plays Judge Doom in the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
The DeLorean was a futuristic car for its time. It features gull-wing doors, and the number "88" is stitched across the front based on production code order rather than engine displacement or horsepower, as with most automobile manufacturers.
The DeLorean's stainless steel body panels provide durability and resistance to rusting because of its strong alloys and nickel content which makes it uniquely different from other cars during that time period.
The DeLorean has become iconic not only as a symbol of much-loved TV show Back To The Future but also as a record holder for Guinness World Records and even appearing in any other movies.
Meta Story Written by HAL:
Hello there reader, my name is Doctor Emmett Brown, and I run a small auto customization business out of my garage. It started off slow at first... My passion for tinkering with machines led me to believe that I could make a business out of it. However, the world was not ready for my unique style of customizations.
After about a year, I realized that the entire operation was not profitable at all. It had cost me a lot of money to even get this far, and running it myself wasn't helping either. I knew that if I was going to make my business successful, then I'd have to take on employees.
I posted some fliers around town looking for help (I didn't have the funds to run an ad). A few people came by, but they just wanted a job that would pay them more money than they were already making. No one was willing to work for my small business venture until I ran into the young girl who lived down the street.
She knew nothing about cars or auto customization, whichhonestly is what I was looking for at the time. However, her bubbly personality and eagerness to learn made it easy to overlook that little detail. Plus, she had worked at a fast food restaurant before, which taught her some basic cooking skills that would work well with the type of vehicles that I envisioned selling in my shop.
I gave her the job on the spot, and she did not disappoint. Her work ethic was more than I could have asked for, and her passion to learn only fuelled that fire. We were working miracles in my little garage, but it just wasn't enough.
After another six months of hard work, we finally had an impressive inventory of fantastic automobiles! Little did we know that what we were about to release on the world, would literally change history! Did I mention that I'm from the future?
That part is important because that's where the DeLorean time machine comes into play.
It all started one fateful night when I went to a pub to check out this girl named Jennifer whom I had met at the bank earlier in the day. We hit it off pretty well, but she seemed distracted by someone across the street. It turned out to be none other than myself, Doc Brown!
Even though he was being followed by terrorists, I knew it would be important to save his life. He had invented the flux capacitor, which makes time travel possible, even in my DeLorean time machine!
I got Jennifer home safe and sound, then rushed off to find Doc Brown before it was too late. I was able to get him into the DeLorean just in time before the terrorists got hold of him.
Watching Doc Brown disappear into the future made me very happy, but it also left me with a problem. As far as I knew, he lived in a different DeLorean time machine right up until his death in 1955. How would I be able to get home?
Oh, DeLoreans! DeLoreans... DeLoreans... DeLoreans... DeLoreans everywhere!
